Chesterfield Offices – Sold Acting on behalf of Spirita Limited, Rigby & Co, have successfully completed the sale of 27 – 29 Clarence Road in Chesterfield. Formerly Wallbrook Housing’s North Derbyshire Headquarters offices, freehold to the building has been sold to a local electrical business already resident in the locality. Russell Rigby of Rigby & Co comments; “freehold own front door offices at the right price are still very much in demand. In the case of this transaction, we were pleased that we were able to drive the value upwards in excess of our asking price of £200,000.” Uttoxeter Offices – Sold One of Uttoxeter’s best known town centre premises have been sold by Rigby & Co. Working on behalf of Spirita Limited, 9 Market Place, Uttoxeter, has now been sold to a regional firm of estate agents who already own adjoining property on Market Place. Originally home to the Derbyshire Building Society and more latterly, East Staffordshire’s Regional Office for Wallbrook, the three storey substantial property has been sold for a figure in excess of the asking price of £300,000. Russell Rigby of Rigby & Co adds; “the sale of this property generated a great deal of interest which resulted in instigation of a best bids process which ultimately gained a very attractive value for the vendor. The purchaser is equally happy having secured an adjacent property into which they can now extend a successful estate agency business”. Westfield HQ Offices – Available Acting on behalf of Westfield Shoppingtowns, Rigby & Co have been retained to dispose of their substantial offices at Victoria Chambers on London Road, Derby. It is from this location that Westfield successfully delivered their new shopping centre accommodation which is spread over two floors and extends to 8,329 square feet plus very high quality secure space. Very well located for a wide range of retail, leisure and related outlets. Russell Rigby of Rigby & Co who is handling the letting comments; “I am very pleased that Westfield have chosen Rigby & Co to represent them in this letting. Several years ago I acquired the freehold to the building for Westfield as they were assembling a range of property interests to support their planning application which has ultimately now delivered the stunning new shopping centre. These offices are capable of being split equally over two floors and offer affordability for companies seeking very centrally located space without compromising the quality and security of the accommodation”. Neil Huntingdon, Developments Executive, with Westfield, adds; “we have invested a considerable sum of money in refurbishing these offices which in turn have served us very well as our Derby base for Project Management and Administration associated with the new shopping centre”. Full details on accommodation can be obtained by contacting Russell on 01332 203377.
