RIGBY & CO SHORTLISTED FOR INDUSTRY’S HIGHEST ACCOLADE

We are delighted to announced that Rigby & Co are the only Derby firm to be named as finalists at Property Week’s 2008 Midlands Property Awards.

The Awards were launched in 2007 in order to recognise the broad range of activities performed by property firms in the region and feature 16 categories, four of which were open to entries. The remaining 12 categories, including Up and Coming Property Firm, were nominated by The Midlands Property Academy and will now be judged by an elite group of top level industry figures.

In order to win the award, which is sponsored by Anglo Irish Bank, Rigby & Co must now beat off the challenge from North Northants Development company and Birmingham-based GBR and FSP.
The winners will be announced at a star-studded awards ceremony, which is taking place at the Birmingham ICC on Tuesday 22nd July in the presence of more than 1,000 of the region’s leading property professionals.

Commenting on the nomination, Russell said:

“To have reached the final of the Midlands Property Awards after only our first full year of trading is a real surprise and is tremendously gratifying.

“I would like to thank the Midlands Property Academy for recognizing our efforts in introducing an energetic and progressive approach to how commercial property is sold and let in Derby and look forward to representing the city of Derby at the awards final in July.

Giles Barrie, editor of Property Week, added:

“The 2008 Midlands Property Awards are set to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event and shine the spotlight on the prolific Midlands property scene.

“We continue to be amazed by the high caliber of property companies that operate throughout the Midlands and the competition between the four finalists in this category is set to be particularly fierce.”
