CONGRATLATIONS TO SOUTHERN DERBYSHIRE LIFT CO ON NATIONAL AWARD
Rigby & Co is proud to be associated with Southern Derbyshire LIFTCo, the public private partnership, which is investing £60 million in state-of-the-art health and local authority facilities across Southern Derbyshire.
Rigby & Co managing director Russell Rigby, who is also chair of Southern Derbyshire LIFTCo, was one of the team who were presented with the award for Enhanced Patient Experience at the national LIFT Awards, a celebration of world-class design, innovation and service improvement in health and social care.
More than 600 guests from across public and private sectors attended a glittering award ceremony, which took place at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London. 71 organisations entered the 11 categories and 32 organisations made the final shortlist.
The award for Enhanced Patient Experience was awarded to the organisation that could demonstrate the best and clearest improvement to the patient experience along the whole patient pathway, with regard to choice, access, service delivery and service improvement for users.
The Pride Park-based LIFTCo beat finalists Barking and Havering LIFTCo and Manchester, Salford and Trafford LIFTCo to win the award for its innovative Lighthouse scheme, a £2.5m respite care facility for disabled children on St Mark’s Road in Derby, which was commissioned for Derby City Council and Derby City Primary Care Trust (PCT).
Commenting on the award, Russell Rigby said:

LIFT is the first co-ordinated programme of investment in primary healthcare infrastructure in the history of the NHS and this award is testament to the hard work of both the public and private sector teams in improving patient choice, access and service delivery across the county.”
