RIGBY AND CO FINDS NEW HOME ON PRIDE POINT

Derby’s newest commercial property consultancy has chosen Pride Point, Cedar House Investments’ popular Pride Park office scheme, for its new headquarters.

Rigby & Co Ltd, which was launched in January by commercial property and regeneration specialist Russell Rigby, has purchased the freehold of Unit 6, a 2,000 ft2 office facility at Pride Point, which is strategically located off Roundabout 5 on Pride Parkway and the A6 Pride Park intersection.

This high profile location has already attracted a diverse range of commercial occupiers to Pride Park and is now home to Derby’s new Toyota and Lexus dealerships, together with an exciting mix of both new and expanding businesses.

Commenting on his decision to establish a base at Pride Park, Russell Rigby said:

“Over the past 13 years, I have been responsible for the successful disposal of the entire 180 acre Pride Park site. There lies a degree of synergy, therefore, in the fact that Rigby & Co is now based at Pride Point, at the very heart of Pride Park.

“Pride Point’s excellent location, coupled with Cedar House Investments’ reputation for delivering quality accommodation, made Pride Point the ideal location for our new headquarters.”
Chris Carlisle, managing director of Cedar House, added:

“We would like to welcome Rigby and Co to Pride Point, which is proving to be one of our most popular schemes.

“We are renowned throughout the region for the quality and excellent location of our office developments, which is reflected by the fact that only one unit remains on the development,” added Chris.

Cedar House, whose own development team is also based at a prestigious office facility at Pride Park, is one of the most proactive developers in the region.

Over the past nine years, the company has delivered more than 500,000 ft2 of commercial space on Pride Park in a mix of uses, including office, industrial, leisure and car showroom.

The company is currently transforming the five hectare former Bombardier bogie works on Pride Park into The Point, a £50 million mixed use development, in a unique joint venture with Lancashire-based Woodford Land.

Development is already underway on a new 90,000 sq ft vocational training centre for Carter and Carter Ltd and when complete, it will see the roll-out of an additional 300,000 sq ft of offices, leisure and retail uses and a 100 room hotel.

Development work is also underway on the 35 acre former Nestlé site in Ashbourne. The Waterside Park scheme will comprise of a residential, office and retail centre, including a mix of 59 houses and flats, 50,000 sq ft of commercial and 60,000 sq ft of retail space.
